WHAT IS SKIN NEEDLING?
Also known as Collagen Induction Therapy and uses tiny, medical grade needles to create micro-channels on the skin. The natural wound-healing response of the skin stimulates collagen and elastin production within the Dermal layers of your skin.
The key differences between medical and non-medical needling include the device, the needles and the expertise of a medically trained dermal therapist. Always check that your device and needles are TGA approved and the penetration depth and speed will achieve the results you desire.
WHAT IS ELECTROPORATION?
Electroporation is a transformation technology exposing cell walls to high-intensity electrical field pulses. This allows the delivery of key ingredients, deep into the layers of the skin for faster and more effective results.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
We recommend to start with three treatments with a minimum of four to six weeks between each treatment. Scar reduction is best treated with four to five treatments. Skin needling always works best when combined with other skin rejuvenation treatments and cosmeceutical home-care.
A complimentary skin consultation with your dermal therapist will determine the number of treatments recommended for optimal results.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MY TREATMENT?
The skin’s natural reaction is inflammation and redness, however this is only for a short time and will fade to a pinky hue within a few hours after your treatment. The pinky hue remains for an average of 12 to 24 hours after your treatment.
We recommend only an active Hyaluronic product be applied during this stage of recovery and it is important to avoid all direct sun exposure.
Over the next few days, you may feel some dryness through the skin healing process. Sunscreens can be applied 48 to 72 hours post treatment and you may resume using a gentle cleanser, healing serum and daily moisturiser.
