There can be many causes of pigmentation so a thorough skin assessment by your dermal therapist is required to determine whether this treatment will be effective and a test patch performed.
Sun spots are easily treated in a cycle of 2-3 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart for optimal results.
Treatment areas such as back of hands, forearms décolletage and face respond well.
Melasma is not suitable for this treatment, so options are best discussed with your therapist.
VASCULAR AND REDNESS TREATMENT
Estimates indicate that unsightly veins are a common problem for more than 60% of the adult population.
The Skin Studio offers IPL treatments which will reduce facial vascular blemishes such as red flushing (Rosacea), thread veins and red spots (Cherry Angiomas) with minimal downtime or risk.
It is common to treat the face, neck, décolletage, however broken capillaries can be found on many parts of the body.
A treatment cycle of 2-4 treatments spaced one to two weeks apart is usually required to reach your best possible outcome.
ACNE TREATMENTS
IPL based acne programs are unique treatments designed to specifically slow the overall production of oil that leads to acne, thus dramatically reducing the chance of spots and minimizing the appearance of pores in general.

FAQ’s on IPL Skin Rejuvenation
Light is delivered from a hand piece at a high intensity for a short period of time. The light wave-length and duration of light is chosen by your therapist to target specific concerns.
The target could be pigmentation (brown), vascular (red) water or bacteria, depending on the treatment outcomes. The light destroys the cells associated with that target.

IPL for Hair Removal, Acne and Collagen Production is virtually painless and very comfortable.
IPL for pigmentation and redness is more uncomfortable. Clients will experience a short but hot sensation.

IPL Treatments require a test patch conducted a minimum of 24 hours prior to treatment.

As always, you should avoid direct sunlight, and wear a high SPF sunscreen and hat whenever outdoors.
Discontinue any harsh, exfoliating products including Retinol as advised by your therapist.
The skin’s natural reaction is inflammation and redness, however this is only for a short time and will fade within a few hours after your treatment.
