Epidermal Blading

EPIDERMAL LEVELLING

WHAT IS EPIDERMAL LEVELLING?

Epidermal levelling is also known as epi-blading or dermal planning. It is an effective treatment to exfoliate the skin and remove fine, fair, facial hair.

The treatment is safe and painless, leaving the skin fresher, brighter and super soft to the touch.

Additional benefits include improvement of penetration of home care products for 4 to 6 weeks.

Some clients book this treatment before a big event the skin glows and make-up becomes perfectly even.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

Epidermal levelling begins with a thorough cleanse and preparation.

A surgical blade moves across the skin at a 45 degree angle. This removes a fine layer of dead skin cells, excess sebum and annoying vellus facial hair or peach fuzz.
An application of serums at this stage ensures maximum penetration of active ingredients.

The procedure is simple and takes approximately 30 minutes.

Due to the increased absorption rate, clients combine epidermal leveling with a range of other treatments based on their skin concerns.

  • Chemical peel
  • Lymphatic Therapy
  • IPL/SHR Hair Removal
  • IPL Rejuvenation, Pigmentation or Acne Treatments
  • Oxygen Therapy

IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME?

No, you can resume all normal activities and product routines immediately post treatment.

WILL THE HAIR GROW BACK THICKER?

No, there is no risk of a change to the hair growth. This is the primary concern of every new client.

The Skin Studio Dermal Therapists are expertly trained in the treatment.

The hair shaft is cut with a tapered edge, so that it will grow back exactly the same as prior to treatment.

The treatment does not increase or decrease hair growth cycles.

Hair will grow back without any change within 3-4 weeks.
