HOW DOES EPIDERMAL LEVELLING WORK?

Epidermal Levelling uses a surgical blade for a deep exfoliation treatment.

The procedure involves holding the blade’s edge at a 45-degree angle to gently scrape away the build-up of dirt, oils and dead cells from the skin’s surface.

All hair, including vellus hair or peach fuzz is completely removed.

Dermaplaning, is also perfect to combine with other treatments such as Permanent Hair Removal and Advanced Facials.

  • Dull complexion
  • Congested Skin

Your therapist uses a surgical blade and a specific technique to exfoliate the skin and remove unwanted hair.

Shaving leaves a blunt end to the hair follicle, so it will feel like stubble when the hair grows back.

Hair that has been removed via dermaplaning grows back exactly the same.

The treatment is painless and you will feel a slight scraping feeling.

  • Kelloid Scars
  • Some medications (including oral Vitamin A, warfarin, roaccutane, antibiotics, blood-thinners and long-term aspirin use)
  • Active cold sores in the treatment area

No pre-care is required for a epidermal levelling treatment.

As always, you should avoid direct sunlight, and wear a high SPF sunscreen and hat whenever outdoors.

Depending on the depth of exfoliation, your skin may be a little pink after your treatment. This will subside quickly. Some clients feel a little sensitivity for the first 24 hours.

Therefore this treatment is recommended two to three days prior to a big event.

To maintain your results, we recommend a treatment every six weeks.

There are many treatments that clients combine or add on to an epidermal levelling.

The skin is prime to absorb all active ingredients and hydration and these are only a few great combinations.
