New Treatment for Hair Loss
I was very skeptical, when the state rep said “Mesotherapy is also a hair loss treatment”.
Over the last 10 years, my husband has tried every lotion and potion on the market to slow his thinning hair and nothing has worked.
I had been watching the international results of Fusion Mesotherapy on skin conditions.
We were confident Mesotherapy produced amazing results on conditions like acne, wrinkles, pigmentation and redness. We conducted months of research and reviewed the clinical trials and as soon as it was available in Australia, we introduced the treatment to Perth.
But then the rep said “by the way, we can also treat hair loss”, but I had my doubts.
I had to see the results for myself.
Hair Growth Treatment Case Study 2021
The patient (my hubby) is a 51 year old male who has noticed thinning hair over the last 15 years.
Weekly treatments were held and the results were amazing.
From the second treatment, we could see that the hair was thicker. After the fourth treatment, family were noticing the improvements and I was certainly impressed.
By the tenth treatment, the bald patch at the top of the head was completely covered.
We are very excited to launch this new treatment to The Skin Studio.
What is Fusion Mesotherapy
Fusion Mesotherapy is a new treatment, relatively painless and involves two components: one mechanical and one chemical.
Mechanical: Micro-needling has long been offered as an option for hair growth stimulation. Using an automated device, tiny puncture wounds are made in the scalp to stimulate a “wound healing response” which in turn stimulates follicular growth.
Chemical: A highly concentrated serum of growth factors is infused directly into the cells using a technique called electoporation. This is an electrical current that disrupts the cell membrane and allow the serum to penetrate.
There is no downtime, although it is recommended that direct sun exposure be avoided.
In addition, a concentrated home-care cream is provided.
An initial course of 10 treatments held weekly is recommended, followed by 1 treatment per month as maintenance.
The Science behind Mesotherapy
More than 60% of men and 40% of women will experience a condition that results in hair loss. The most common is Androgonetic Alopecia.
At the base of the hair follicle is the dermal Papilla and Extracellular Matrix (ECM) These play a crucial role in hair formation and the growth cycle.
By targeting these cells with certain peptides and growth factors, the size of the hair follicle increases and locks the hair shaft.
Clinical studies show a 52% reduction in telogen hair, that’s the hair ready to fall out.
In addition, growth factors stimulate the supply of nutrition to the follicle improving hair growth and generating new blood vessels.
